The Plano Balloon Festival, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to producing a family oriented, high quality event that offers other local non-profits an opportunity to assist in the operations of the Festival. Our objective is to offer the participating non-profit agencies an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for their programs and services…thus enhancing the quality of life for all of us. These organizations participate in the festival in three ways:
1. Service Provider
These organizations staff admission gates, parking lots, and sell wrist bands/tickets in the Kids Fun Zone. Funds are presented to each agency based on the number of volunteers they supply and the area they staffed. Applications are distributed annually in February / March to those agencies that are interested. Agencies are selected in mid March for that year’s Festival.
2. Food Concessionaire
These organizations raise funds for their programs and services by selling food products. Selection is based on booth space and product availability.
3. Non-Profit Vendor
These organizations are onsite to educate the community by distributing materials about their programs and services. Spaces are based on availability.

Over the past 42 years, in excess of 3 million dollars has been dispersed to a variety of local nonprofit organizations… directly impacting individuals in our community!
Our success has created a great deal of interest from many nonprofit agencies throughout Collin County. Agencies now welcome the opportunity to increase our community’s awareness of their mission, increase their volunteer base and raise money to fund various projects. It is the Plano Balloon Festival, Inc.’s goal to involve as many organizations as possible.
