Races are ON - 10K, 5K & 1K will be live in person

READY TO LIFT OFF? PBF RACES ARE A GO FOR LAUNCH! THE 2021 PBF RACES – 10K, 5K AND 1K WILL BE A LIVE IN PERSON EVENT ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2021.
While the festival has been canceled, nothing else changes for the races, check out all the high flying details below.

2021 Race Registration

It's time to take your run on an epic adventure! We are so excited to be back with LIVE racing in 2021! This year's Plano Balloon Festival's runs/walks will all take place on Sunday, September 19, 2021 and feature distances of a 10K, 5K, 1K and Elevate Challenge (10K & 5K)! All participants in each distance will receive dazzling commemorative finisher medals! Plus all participants in the 10K and/or 5K and adults over the age of 12 in the 1K will receive a gender specific, short sleeve, dry fit style race shirt. Kids 12 and under in the 1K will receive a cape! For those of you who are more daring check out the Elevate Challenge which features both the 10K and 5K on Sunday! Participants in the challenge receive a bonus finisher medal!
Race participants will receive FREE Parking at Collin College (located at 2800 East Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75074) and complimentary breakfast for runners provided by Central Market.

Mail Packet Option

You may select to have your race packet mailed to you during registration for an additional fee of $20. The deadline to register and include this feature is August 31, 2021, there are no exceptions. Packets will be mailed to the address you used during registration.
If you are already registered you can add it to your registration by logging in at www.runsignup.com. In the upper right corner select Profile form the drop down menu. Then select Manage Registration next to your PBF registration. From there select the Add-Ons on the left side navigation and follow the prompts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Run Course Limit - A: The time limit for the 10K is two hours. The time limit for 5K is one hour. The time limit for the 1K is 20 minutes.
Are dogs and strollers allowed? A: Yes, however we do not recommend you bring your dog due to the heat and there are no dog medical services or dog water stops. For both, those participating with dogs or strollers, we ask that you do not wear headphones and please start in the back of pack and be aware of participants around you.
Can children participate in the 10K and 5K? A: Yes, all participants under 18 must have the event waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
Is the run course certified? A: Yes, the 10K and 5K courses are both USATF Certified. The 10K certification number is TX18091 and the 5K certification number is TX13144.
Are there mile markers, hydration stations and restrooms along the course? A: Yes, there are mile markers at each mile of the 10K and 5K courses. The 10K course has three hydration stations. The 5K course has one hydration station which you will pass by twice. Restrooms are located near the start/finish line and along 10K and 5K courses at the hydration station on Los Rios.
Can a friend or family member pick up my packet? A: Yes, all they need to have is a copy of your registration email confirmation.
What time is the award ceremony? A: The awards ceremony schedule is listed above. If you miss the awards ceremony and you have won an age group award you can have the award shipped to you for $15. Please contact us at info@oylmarketing.com to make those arrangements.
Can I register a group? A: Yes, we offer discounts if you have ten or more adults.
